
Rob McInerney Appointed iRAP Global CEO

As Chief Executive Officer, Rob McInerney will work closely with iRAP's global partners to help transform the world's high risk roads.
The move which takes effect on 1 January 2010, comes as iRAP prepares to play a leading role in making roads safe during the Decade of Action for Road Safety.
Rob has led the development of a vibrant programme in Asia Pacific and played a pivotal role in the creation of the programme's technology and methodology. He will manage the global programme from Brisbane, Australia, hosted by the Queensland motoring club, RACQ.
Greg Smith, currently iRAP Project and Communications Manager, will move into the role of Director, Asia Pacific. He will join Jo Hill (Director, EuroRAP), Julio Urzua (CEO, Latin America and the Caribbean), John Mumford (Director, Africa) and Peter Kissinger (Director, North America) in leading the regional programmes.
The team is further strengthened with the appointment of Richard Thornton as IT Manager. Richard will lead the ongoing development of iRAP's tailor-made risk-analysis software, ensuring it continues to provide cutting-edge capabilities to iRAP teams around the world.
