Strengthening Support for Africa

To help meet the demand for iRAP projects in Southern and Eastern Africa, Petro Kruger will be assisting the iRAP team.

Petro is a dedicated and passionate road safety professional who is currently the Director of the Road Safety Foundation in South Africa.  The foundation partners with the private and public sector in an effort to reduce crashes and the resulting injuries and fatalities on South African roads by implementing specific and measurable education and awareness programmes.

Working in a part-time capacity, Petro will play a crucial role in helping make roads safe in Africa, where it is estimated that more than 250 000 people are killed on the roads each year. iRAP aims to partner with relevant agencies to assess and drive improvements on the worst 10% of roads on the continent.
